ENROLLMENT for 2017-18
All applications received during our Open Enrollment period are treated equally within their respective lottery categories. After Open Enrollment, applications will be accepted in the order it is received in their respective preference group but will be behind the applications received during the open enrollment for that preference group. Please scroll below for more information on the Open Enrollment Lottery. In order to apply through our new enrollment system, you will be required to create an account on Schoolmint. You will also be required to upload following 2 documents online:
A) Proof of age - copy of birth certificate
B) Proof of residence - any one of the following: Parent's CA driver's license, consulate ID, passport, rental agreement, lease, monthly mortgage payment, or property tax bill showing name and address.

Open Enrollment Lottery
Any student residing in the state of California may apply and shall be accepted to Spark Charter School. If there are more students who want to attend than there are openings available, Spark will use a the Open Enrollment Lottery process to randomly select students.
Open Enrollment Period
Spark’s Open Enrollment Period for the 2017-18 school year was Dec 19, 2016-Feb 28, 2017. All qualified applicants who apply to Spark Charter School during the Open Enrollment period are eligible for the public random drawing (“lottery”), which will be held on the Spark campus, on March 9 2017 @10:30AM. Schoolmint software will update the results of the drawing and applicants can log into their account to see their admission status and/or wait-list number.
Lottery
Should the number of students applying for any grade exceed the expected capacity for that grade, a lottery shall be conducted for all Open Enrollment applicants for those grades by an independent outside party to determine school placement.
Preference Groups
Enrollment preferences shall be given in the following order:
A. Founding Families
B. Siblings of currently enrolled students
C. Children of paid Spark staff
D. Residents of Sunnyvale School District
E. All other California residents
