Monday: Cooking Around the World
by Chef Koochooloo
Chef Koochooloo is an international educational platform that empowers kids to engage in fun, interactive cooking activities while learning about geography, math, science and social responsibility. Our vision is to bring families together to discover the world through healthier cuisines, while raising better global citizens.
For each Chef Koochooloo session, our instructor chooses a particular country and takes the kids on a culinary journey. Chef Koochooloo teaches them basic fun (kid relevant factoids), raises awareness about a social issue that is affecting kids in that country, highlights nutritional values of the healthy ingredients we spotlight, and teachs science as it relates to each recipe (e.g: what happens when water boils it changes matter, etc). Wednesday: Public Speaking / Debate
by Gurus Education
Being able to communicate effectively and confidently has immeasurable benefits. A student who can articulate well will feel more confident participating in class discussions, and hence learns more. (S)he can give a clear structure to his/her thoughts, which improves writing skills, critical thinking, reasoning and research skills. Students become better listeners and analysts.
Our well-defined Public Speaking and Debate Programs teach students these soft skills and much more. These programs are ideal for both types of students--those who are extremely shy and those who are confident speakers--and helps them enjoy the limelight. While the shy student learns how to overcome anxiety and fear of public speaking, the confident speaker learns to shape their ideas effectively, and get a forum to engage in constructive debating and public speaking.
