What is Spark Charter School?
Spark Charter School is a K-8 school organized by a group of Sunnyvale parents with assistance from a team of education experts. Spark Charter will open in fall 2014 with grades K-5, and increase by one grade level every year until it reaches K-8.
Spark Charter will utilize hands-on projects, social-emotional learning, and family participation to create a rich and academically rigorous educational program that will foster deeper learning, encourage creativity, and cultivate strong critical thinking, collaboration and communication skills. The arts, foreign language instruction, and physical education will be integrated into the academic program. Spark is committed to creating a school that is racially, ethnically, and culturally diverse, reflecting the diversity of our community.
Spark Charter is a non-profit organization formed by Sunnyvale parents. Start-up costs are currently being financed through garage sales and out-of-pocket donations by our founding parents. We are also in the process of organizing some larger fundrasiers for the near-future.

Open Enrollment lottery Results
The lottery for those who applied within the Open Enrollment period (ending March 15th) took place on Monday, March 31st. Drawing results can be found below.
Special thanks to Sunnyvale City Council Member David Whittum and Crime Investigator Sean Zadig for acting as our independant outside parties to draw lottery tickets.
Please keep in mind that we are still finalizing the number of spots we can offer at each grade level based on the final configuration of our facility. Your lottery number position may not conclusively indicate whether you will be offered a spot. We will do our best to finalize these details in the coming weeks, so please be patient with us!
